If you received a notification that we noticed suspicious activity on your account:

We’ve already locked out anyone using your account and changed your password. Please reset your password, in order to regain access to your account. Be sure to always make your Waitr password unique from all other services you join.

If you suspect your account has been taken over and have not received an email from Waitr:

Step 1. Make sure the email address on your account is still yours. If your email address has been changed proceed with the following steps:

Using the Mobile App

  • Open Your Profile 
  • Open Profile Settings 
  • Tap “Edit” 
  • Update your email address and tap "Save"

Using the Website

  • Open Your Profile
  • Click the "Edit" button, located beneath your personal details
  • Update your email and click "Save" 

If you are unable to update your email address, please contact customer support via live chat or by emailing support@waitrapp.com.

Step 2. Change your password:

Using the Mobile App

  • Open Your Profile
  • Open Profile Settings
  • Tap”Change Your Password”
  • Enter your new password and tap "Save"

If you are using the website, you will need to log out of the site and follow this link with instructions on how to reset your password.

New passwords must be at least 8 characters long, and contain at least 1 letter and 1 number. Be sure to always make your Waitr password unique from all other services you join.

How to protect your Waitr account:

  • Use a password unique to Waitr.
  • Practice good password security: use a mix of letters, numbers, capitalization, and symbols. The longer the password is, the better. 
  • Change your password regularly.
  • Don't use your Waitr account on public computers.
  • Run an antivirus program regularly on your computer.
  • Visit https://haveibeenpwned.com/, and check your email address to see what 3rd party data breaches your account has been leaked in.
